Warranty Void Stickers Are Illegal in the US The Federal Trade Commission has recently come out with a statement that warranty void stickers are illegal. The FTC is requesting companies review their promotional and warranty materials to ensure that they don’t state anything to the effect that warranty coverage is conditional on using specific parts or services. It’s not infrequent we receive a product to review that have “warranty void if removed” stickers, and that never looks good in our product photos.
