Die Progressive Selection kehrt zurück und eröffnet die kommende Clubsaison im Club Camera mit Querox. Nach der wohlverdienten Sommerpause wird mit hochkarätigem und ebenso vielfältigem Line Up auf zwei Floors lautstark gestartet. Der Name ist natürlich Programm und so steht der Abend ganz im Stil des Progressive Psy-Trance. Im kultverdächtigen Club Camera, mitten im Herzen Wiens, wird seit den 70er Jahren ein bedeutendes Stück Clubgeschichte geschrieben. Nach glorreichen Zeiten und durchfeierten Nächten liegt der Fokus wie eh und je auf qualitativ hochwertiger elektronischer Clubmusik. Neben einer massiven Soundanlage, 2 Floors und unzähligen Sitzgelegenheiten wird natürlich auch ausreichend Platz zum Tanzen geboten. Und das alles zentral gelegen und mit perfekter U-Bahn Anbindung, mitten in der Stadt. Querox ist einer der gefragtesten Progressive Trance Acts der Gegenwart und Labelchef von Prog-On-Syndicate Records. Mit seinen ausgefeilten Produktionen, geprägt von treibenden kräftigen Basslines und sphärischen Melodien, hat er das Genre maßgeblich geprägt und ständig neu definiert. An diesem Abend spielt er sowohl eines seiner berühmten Live Sets als auch ein DJ-Set. Für fette Beschallung und eine bunte Reise durch die Nacht sorgen außerdem Anjoli und Noreya mit einem gemeinsamen Lady b2b Warm-Up, Progressive Selection Resident Wolle sowie Iono-Label-DJ Alezzaro. Through the suffering, imprisonment, loss of loved ones and his eventual release from a detention camp in 1992, his earliest tests and tribulations have served as considerable drivers to the leaps and bounds now associated with his global overhaul. Times have changed. Social landmarks have come and gone. Armed only with the haunting memories of his earlier tribulations, Baggi’s club deviance has been modestly tailored, yet wholeheartedly executed to make relevant marks on the modern market. As an industrious playground, few could argue the positive legwork made by Baggi upon his relocation to Rotterdam. Away from the constant reminders of political unrest, Baggi would staple himself amid the thriving Netherland’s circuit, immersing himself among such long serving peers as Funkerman, Hardsoul and Rene Amesz – the latter of whom he would top the progressive house charts alongside for “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” With a back catalogue including collaborative duties alongside Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez and a strong presence on Defected Record’s Ibiza 09 compilation, there is no shortage of indicators of Baggi’s preserved musical aptitude.
